I would prefer teaching over chaos as politicians of the day is doing, says' Uma Shankar Choubey, a teacher by profession, who is likely to join mainstream politics. On being asked, 'whether contesting the upcoming assembly election in the state' he said that no way to do it in 'pressure' but for sure if people want. Currently, I am focusing on education at this stage, sharing knowledge, educating people are more important than contesting election. Election can be fought at any stage, however, fostering education and knowledge has an age limit, therefore I would take up this now and then let the politics happens' he stresses upon.

It [education] is the key to eliminating poverty, gender inequality, defusing the tension between communities, and also to creating a sustainable planet, to preventing needless deaths and illness, and to fostering peace. And in a knowledge economy, education is a kind of currency by which one can maintain economic competitiveness and global prosperity, Mr. Choubey added.
He further enlightens, 'this is an investment that one does and that helps those at the most critical times. But this work is not easy, and many countries are falling short of achieving these goals, and the reason could be many – lack of will power, poverty around, corrupt systems that don't allow good people to come forward. Our region is facing a deep crisis as far as education is concerned. Huge numbers of primary – aged children are out of school despite several schemes are being run by the government. Thus, it is important to strengthen the systems that govern it, he stresses upon.
