Nagar/Bhawnathpur: Getting married is one of the most important decisions we make in life and most of us wonder about the life that awaits after exchanging the vows. In fact, many of us even weigh the pros and cons of a married life and brood over whether staying single is the better option.
Yet, the Goisain Bag Maidan of Bhawnathpur constituency witnessed a grand mass marriage on 11th June 2019, in which 182 couples from across the sections tied the knot. The marriage expenses which are often considered as one of the reasons for people being indebted and committing suicide for not being able to pay off their loans, should now be a thing of past. The area is considered to be most backward even though it carries large amount of resources, and if that utilises its potentials, nobody will be compelled to live vulnerable lifestyle.
It requires strong activism to deliver its duty, in order to posturing welfare to the people at large, who cannot afford, should no longer be worried about - as the novel way has strike already in the mind of Kanhaya Chaubey, who represents a political outfit called Jharkhand Mukti Morcha [JMM] at the constituency.
The local JMM leader, who organised the mass marriages in which 182 couples tied the knot amongst their relatives, friends, well wishers and other dignitaries across the spectrums which includes – Amit Mahto, a former MLA, Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha marked his presences as the chief guest of the ceremony, Tanveer Alam, Vinod Tiwari, Aszad Ansari, Kamleshwar Pandey, Surendra Gupta, Surdev Mehta, Nirmal Paswan, and a large number of audiences.
Performing the ritual 'Kanyadan' the couple becomes emotional and says, “We are lucky having 182 girls and boys are mine, from today, we are parents of them. If they face any such challenge in their lives can call upon, when someone has single, double or triple children consider themselves as special. Then, god gives me 182 children of me. So we have more reasons to feel exceptional and proud. We wishes good luck all couples, may God/Allah bless them with good health and wealth all the time so that they never ever feel alone” 'the couple (Kanhaya Chaubey and his wife) added'
Aiming to spread harmony in the society, it is indispensable to bring all castes and communities together under one umbrella. There shouldn't be any divergent between people and society, as we are part of one almighty; whether it is Lord Ram, Krishna, Allah, Jesus or anything faith that we believe in, the ultimate axiom of all of them were analogous to increase humanity and no division to be allowed on the basis of castes, creed, race and religion, 'Kanhaya Chaubey says to the large audience in his speech'
Expressing concerns over the disharmony within communities he says, 'that I decided to persue it further in order to strengthen the acquaintance within [communities]; for achieving larger goals under philosophy of “Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb”. Nevertheless, the idea is also to help needy who cannot afford expenses occurring in marriages – and we can also better learning as how can we live together without animosity, he added.
The JMM leader, who is known for outspoken, but soft hearted, a relative of one of the couples said. (Chaubey ji, bahut acche aadmi hai, bhagwan unko barakat de, taki wo aur logo ka uthan ho), Mr. Chaubey is good man, I wish him good luck so that he could help more needy people in days to come. The others too admire Kanhaya Chaubey's efforts in arranging the same. It was heard villagers saying that Chaubey is very nice person, who attempts to uplift the poor people of the areas without discriminations. Alas! more such personas could have emerged in the areas, and then scenery might be other than that.
