JMM Distributed Portfolios at District Level

GARHWA: Even before election day, the JMM candidate from the assembly seat distributed the departments for monitoring at district level. Dhiraj Dubey, party spokesman from Garhwa to look after the contract related works (thekedari), Ashutosh Pandey, assigned Agriculture and land records, while rest were distributed to Pankaj Soni, a coordinator from Meral, Naushad Khan, Amrita etc, a party source confirms.



Mithilesh Thakur, contesting from Garhwa Vidhan Sabha on JMM tickets since 2009, during which he received 9.45 percent (14180) votes. However, in 2014 he has got almost 24 percent (47579) votes. In absence of Girinath Singh, BJP leader, JMM leadership is almost sure to win this time, as Girinath Singh has himself asked his supporters to favour JMM, in case he doesn't get ticket.


A party personal, on condition of anonymity he also says that most of the things were finalised by the candidate, and Member of Central Committee, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). These people will observe the activities in the respective departments on regular basis. Just before poll day, Vinod Tiwari, another party leader has left the JMM and joins the BJP in presence of dozen of BJP leaders, including, MLA Satendra Nath Tiwari, Om Prakash Keshri, Garhwa District President, Brajesh Upadhayay etc.


Talking to the reporters, Vinod Tiwari said that JMM candidate Mithilesh Thakur doesn't respect democracy and different voices within the party, therefore, I decided to left him and pursue with his old party, which is none other than BJP. We tried to approach them for the comments; however, party officials didn't take 'The Garhwa Post's calls.
