GARHWA: Seeking a third term in office, Satendra Nath Tiwari on Wednesday filed nomination papers from Garhwa assembly seat. He also won two consecutive terms 2009 and 2014.
The people of this constituency will vote in first phase in the assembly poll. Although, the situation remains tight for both; incumbent and his contender JMM candidate Mithilesh Thakur.
While on his way to the SDM's office, Mr. Tiwari was showered with rose petals by the public. He also addresses a large number gathering standing at the town-hall ground in the city.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Tiwari said: "my win is not important. But the democracy should win. Electing us is in people's hands, but running it is our duty." He also expressed happiness after seeing the supports at the ground.
There were large numbers of BJP leaders accompanying him when he was submitting the nomination papers to the SDM Pradeep Kumar.
