Palamau DC Outlines his Triumphs in Press Meet

Palamau: In his monthly press briefing, DC Palamau, Dr. Shantanu Kumar Agrahari, presented report card, which gives details of what have been done as well as opportunity areas, he focuses on three major schemes including livelihood, water supply and education. Apart from it – DC Palamau also shares the progress of other schemes, being run in the district.



Talking to the reporters, he says that required land has already been transferred for Degree College in Panki, NOCs is given to the medical college, dumping point will be removed from Chahmuhan chowk, and subsequently construction of boundary for renowned Zila School is to begin soon. There will be power grid sub-station at Panki and Chhatarpur for which ARF is ready.


He also added that 294 Anganwari Centres will be shifted to freed government schools building, appointment letter of 421 teachers have already been released, 32 block coordinators will be hired under PM Awas Yojna for which the process is begun already, a total of 43895 houses under the scheme [PM Awas Yojna] have been built between the years 2016-19, FTO generation for 35932 beneficiaries are already done, out of total - 25978 recipients have received their first due, under Ayushman Bharat yojna, 120193 cards have been issued, while 10702 card holders availed the benefits. Under CM Krishi Aashirvad Yojna, 462270 farmers of 20 circles have been issued notices after being received the input from them; their data have been uploaded over the portal.


Expressing happiness, DC says “Under, corporate social responsibility [CSR] a total of 9 'Anganwari Centres' being built, five centres of Patan is supported by Hindalco while, four centres are being funded by Grashim Industries of Bishrampur area”. The district level library has also been renovated by the support received through CSR, going a step forward DC says that village's boys will be visiting to the library, he added. 1586 hand pumps are repaired and more to be done in coming days. DC stressed upon the need of using innovations i.e. rainwater harvesting, recharge pit to which revolving funds will be given upto 6000 SHG.
