Palamau: While - it is well said that emergence of new leaders on the political scene of Palamau posing a threat to the established leadership of the existing parties. Avinash Dev, an educationalist turned politician, Dr. Amit Prakash, a doctor by profession has emerged as mass leader slowly but steady, and Shyam Kishore Singh, an another dynamic educationist, going to be emerged in the political arena in the region.

They have found followers across the section of the society and age group, there are others whose appeal is largely confined to the certain sphere too. Past has witnessed that a set batsmen is batted for a long time just because the new batsman didn't emerge.

Perhaps for the first time since 1977 or much before, the old leaders have dominated largely in the election to this extent. There have been many leaders starting from Puran Chand upto 1977, also been the MLA once. Inder Singh Namdhari had emerged most dynamic post 1980 till 2007 as the member of legislative assembly, he ruled for more than three decades at Palamau. After that there is hardly been a reason to the appearance of any such persons who considered themselves as part of politics to the place.

After Inder Singh Namdhari disappearance from the active politics, more new faces surfaced in the region also, but haven't been able to persuade the audiences significantly in this region and the cause of that is itself posing backwardness. However, after 2019 general election, the experts witnessed massive 'disruptions' which say no caste, creed and religion based politics will be the coming into effect, which it was noticed in past. The voters are very clear to their understanding and their demands are no longer exit – caste based politics has either dead, or it has almost zero effect in days to come.

It is said that Dr. Prakash, Avinash Dev and Shyam Kishore are well articulated personas, who understand and act quickly at people wishes even though they are not a pure politicians as yet. But, by and large have obvious vision to deliver when it comes to political arena. Dr. Amit Prakash, a doctor turned politician, who obtains MBBS degree from foreign land and runs a health centre at the heart of Palamau. He is also the in-charge of Clean India Mission, continuously winning the heart of people, giving the needy free health care and also drive mass awareness on 'health and nutrition'.

The 'Ministry of Panchayati Raj' had observed Palamau, the most backward district in 2006, and it ranks 250 out of the total 640; receiving funds from the backward region grand fund just because it couldn't gained its momentum  so far.

Avinash Dev, another young educationist, who manages the renowned St Mariam School at Palamau. He is also considered to be most effective philanthropist due to his active grass root works, who recently organise a day-night cricket tournament in the memory of Martyr Lt. Anurag Shukla. Avinash is too member of Jharkhand Mati Kala Board, whose aims to strengthen the extinct arts which was being cope by a particular community across the country. Avinash has also been appointed as the brand ambassador of Palamau Municipal Corporation. It is yet to clear that - whether he will contest this election, or formally joins any political outfits, however, his followers are of the opinion that he must come forward and fasten into the active politics.

Many observers of politics in region find Shyam Kishore Singh, as leader of the new age. He is the founder of Kunwar Prithi Nath Singh B.Ed College which has silently been taking space in educational horizon, aiming to provide quality education at affordable rate for all. Shyam is graduated in Management from a reputed institute of NCR region and largely understands social causes should join politics, a local resident says.

The combination of knowledge, experiences and social aspects can change the fate of region, if such persons become part of active politics, he added. While, when contacted Shyam Kishore Singh, he politely disapproves the scores made by other and said that I have not yet thought to join politics, “though my concentration is to make this place educated, most people should obtain education which has not been in past”. I set up an institute for education [B.Ed College] itself indicates that I want everyone to be educated, I am dreamt of to see Palamau as hub of education first, and I am too thankful of them who wish me for other fields, but that's not possible at this stage, he added further.

Over past few decades, the polarisation has been the USP of the election due to excessive uses of money, castes and creed. It cannot be denied to the fact that elections were won on the basis of caste based politics and use of money was at extreme; which left people choice-less, subsequently they have to chose from the existing picks, now the new faces can definitely give people option to move beyond the boundaries.
