English Speech Contest in St. Mariam School; Heart And Mind Should Work Together, Says Avinash Deo

PALAMAU: An Intellect, always works coherently. The findings may show the heart (our emotional state), and mind (intellect) may not be separate, but two words for the one thing. The ancient Hebrews, who were so advanced in laws of hygiene that some parts of the world still have not caught up, made no difference between heart/emotion and mind/intellect, say Avinash Deo, Director of St. Mariam School.

Deo, 35, has always been vocal on social issues, particular on discipline, sacraments that should be inculcated within, is of the opinion that - to the Ancient Hebrew there were three aspects to a being: the person's heart (mind/emotions), their breath (soul/life) and the body (strength). The Hebrew word for 'might' is 'very', he added.

Avinash Deo stressed upon building the nation through transformation which can only possible via education and awareness. Stating that he says that the law required service of the mind and the 'very' of life/ breath/ energy. To be 'out of breath' affects the strength, breath/life (soul) and strength are related. But the heart was first.

On that occasion, several students of the school from standard 5th to 10 participated and speak their mind on the topic provided by the school management. Speaking on the occasion, Divya Tiwari of std. (6E) got first place, while Tanu Singh of std 9A, and Saina Khan of std 10B were awarded second and third accolades respectively.

The basic instinct behind this programme was to let the students speak their mind on the burning issues that society is facing these days. Expressing concerns over the latest incident took place in Hydrabad, where a young dentist was raped and brutally killed by the rapists, Avinash Deo says such heinous crime must stopped against women in particular.

The men and women must be made to learn sacraments from grassroots, home, school, society etc. Unless, it is done, one can't expect a better society to live, Deo stated. St. Maram has always been at forefront to organise such programmes on various issues concerning society and its elements. They have been vocal in scaling up the incidents that society take to, and face multiply.
