PALAMAU: Taking serious note of what Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered to kill 'Sonchiriya' for the sake of money. Kaushal Kishore Jaiswal, a noted environmentalist asks United Nation to save an extinct bird from being killed, which could have serious implications in long term.
Jaiswal, 65, known as the father of 'Van Rakhi Movement', is also the president of Worldwide Environmental Protection Campaign (WEPC), who planted over millions of trees and also save birds. He is of the opinion that if UN doesnt act, to protect the life of those endangered birds, then the coming generation will have to bear the brunt of it.
He also urges the Indian government and its wildlife department citing references of the vanished animal dinosaurs and poses a concern that it can also happen with several birds including eagles and vultures. Report says that number of 'Son Chiraiya' has been significantly reduced upto 175 at this stage. Though, the government is spending massive funds to protect it.
In addition to 37 percent of the creatures living on the earth and 47 percent of the species living in the water, 1147 types of fish are in danger of extinction. We are not avoiding taking subversive action with nature would cost, the environmentalist says.
