CHHATARPUR: Kaushal Kishore Jaiswal, 65, resident of Jharkhand's Daltonganj town for whom environment is the religion he follows and trees are his family members. His advancing age notwithstanding, he relentlessly continues in his mission with a regimented passion and teenager's excitement.
The vicar of 'Rakhi Movement' and environmentalist Kaushal Kishore Jaiswal, who greets people on the occasion of New Year 2020. On very first day of the upcoming year, Jaiswal, 65, urges people to participate in plantation on large scale.
He was all of 10 when he began sharing out and planting trees, purchasing saplings from his pocket money. Forty years hence, he continues with the habit and has in the process planted around 35 lakh trees from Kathmandu to Kanyakumari
He planted trees in Chhatarpur sub-division of Palamau district. On that occasion, Jaiswal gives clear message to the villagers that we must plant more trees so that our next generation could enjoy healthy livelihood, as the world is suffering from pollution at backlogs.
There were large gatherings including Poonam Jaswal, Arun Jaiswal, Amit Jaiswal, Suchit Kumar, Ramji Prasad, Lallu Prasad, Ram Janam Yadav, Shilpa, Suraj, Aman, Purnima, Anku and Aashika.
