A Triangular Fight At Bishrampur Assembly Seat; Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi vs Dadai Dubey vs Anju Singh

PALAMAU: At Bishrampur constituency, the home turf of Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravasnshi has turned into battle of heavyweights in the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections after Congress party gives its ticket to Chandra Shekhar Dubey better known as Dadai Dubey.



Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravasnshi, three times MLA from the here, a news maker, loves controversies around. In beginning, he was with Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) and won the seat in 2005 assembly election with 18612 votes against his rival Ajay Dubey of the congress party.


While, he gains only 14 percent voters in 2009 assembly election and was defeated by Dadai Dubey of the congress party, however, he joined BJP and contested on its ticket in 2014 and won the battle once again.


Dubey, 74, a five terms MLA from the constituency, and also member of 14th Lok Sabha from Dhanbad, is now contesting on congress's ticket. While he wanted his son Ajay Dubey to be given ticket from here, sadly he son Ajay Dubey dies at the age of 46; just after the ticket announced to his father.


Dadai Dubey, who started his political career as Mukhiya till 1977, after that he became the formal representative of Indian National Trade Union (Congress), Member of Legislative Assembly from 1985 to 2000 then part of Bihar assembly, holds the portfolio of Minister for Labour and Employment ruled by Rabri Devi.


Again elected as the member of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly in 2000. In 2004 general election, he was elected as Member of Parliament from Dhanbad, which awarded him Committee on Coal and Steel, Member- Consultative Committee on Coal and Mines. In 2013,  became minister for Gramin Vikas, Panchayati Raj and Labour welfare.


Anju Singh is another strong candidate from this constituency who is contesting on JVM ticket. Previously, she was part of JMM, which denies ticket, as it alliances with Congress party.  Now, the constituency is now witnessing a triangular battlefield between BJP, Congress Party and JVM.


Anju Singh, phenomenal lady, gains limelight after securing almost 15 percent vote share in last 2014 assembly election. She got around 24064 against her challenger Chandravanshi, who had scored 37974 votes in the last poll. Analysts believe that one day she would represent the constituency.


She is highly cultural lady, often admired by her opponent too. She never shy away with the problems, however she tries to align herself to it and makes efforts to solve these out. She gets more attention even though she hasn't got chance to represent, but she can be voices for women across the region as well. 



The most interesting factors that this constituency has; is that the health minister is caught accepting money from a village man, however, it is not yet clear that money was taken for what, although minister denies corruption charges levied against him.


Apart from this, there have been number of occasions when people accused him for being involved in corruption whether it is to convert his own institution in nursing institute etc. He also forgets name of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi while wishing birthday to him.



Parties consider candidates based on the caste, not by merits; but due to its socio, castiest position which can guarantee the winiblity for the same. Since 2005, till now, the electoral features have defined that caste and eco-socio factors are of paramount significant which decides the duo-factor of cricket language.
